Dear all, I have yet to find more detailed information on the preparation for service providers such as Consultants who export their services to Europe. Any advice? Thank you!

The gov.uk websites do not provide any guidance or advice for example for consultants/business services providers who are based and work in the UK but invoice clients in Europe for their services.

Thank you for your post. The GOV.UK guidance provided outlines specific Country Guides for providing a service and travelling for business in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein from 1 January 2021. The guidance also highlights that for sector-specific information, if you’re a UK citizen with questions about your legal position in any sector, you should: get professional advice, contact the government of the EEA country where you own, manage or direct a company for more information. If the GOV.UK links have not addressed your query, you may clarify what specific information you require and we shall endeavor to provide a response.

If you follow the links given above, you are taken to an EU website which provides guidance for businesses wishing to provide services in another EU country https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/selling-in-eu/selling-goods-services/provide-services-abroad/index_en.htm From 1 January, this guidance will no longer apply to the UK, so the advice that you signpost to is not valid. Do you have any other guidance?

Thank you for your post.

The GOV.UK links we have given detail the full guidance on providing and selling services to the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein after the Transition Period, from 1 January 2021.

The webpage you have linked to in your post is found when you click on the current guidance link in the black box at the top of the page, which is relevant for 31 more days (at time of posting) until the Transition Period is over.
