Q.2 How is the split between Manston and Sevington/Waterbrook going. Any misroutingexperienced? If so how is that handled A. Vehicles headed for the Port of Dover are diverted to Manston where they are asked first about whether they have a negative Covid test and then they are asked if they are border ready - if the answer to both these questions is yes then they are green laned to Dover. Vehicles headed to Eurotunnel are directed down the M20 where a similar process takes place. The vehicles are taken to Ashford Sevington if border ready. There are currently no delays at present. If a vehicle has misrouted, they are currently dealt with pragmatically due to the low volumes however it is important to note they could be turned back in principle.

Q.4 Does BPDG have any view on readiness of EU businesses for changes in April and July, please? A. EU businesses are a large and diverse group of operators - what we know is we are going to be actively working with partners to increase readiness of both EU businesses and UK businesses.

Q.5 We have confirmation that 80% of southbound trucks into France have no or incorrect ENS declarations. They are currently being allowed to proceed but this will not last forever. Is HMRC/HMG considering a communication campaign to emphasise the importance of ENS declarations, not only into the EU but especially into the UK from 1st July? A. Thank you for this information. Yes, BPDG and HMRC will reinforce in our respective communications the pertinence of entry summary declarations (ENS).

Q.6 I am preparing a webinar which will look at operation of the trade deal. Is BPDG able to share any stats on traffic levels or on how well outgoing hauliers are prepared for new EU border regs (eg: turnbacks), please? A. Unfortunately due to commercial sensitivity, we are unable to share port HGV turnback figures.

Q.8 Can you please confirm whether there is a better summary of all goods subject to EU prohibitions and restrictions than the annex to George Eustice's letter to industry of 14/12/20. I gather that GB is likely to impose similar restrictions on EU goods from 1st April. A. The EU Prohibitions and Restrictions for Customs list can be found here: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/sites/taxation/files/prohibition_restriction_list_customs_en.pdf
