RE: Organic COIs - pushed back to Jan 2022?
FYI for anyone else reading this, it has been pushed back to Jan 2022: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/importing-and-exporting-organic-food#history -
Organic COIs - pushed back to Jan 2022?
I can't see any mention of organic checks being pushed back to Jan 2022 along with everything else - please could you confirm either way? -
Importing Products of Animal Origin
My business imports organic sheep & goat cheese and yoghurt from France. Do we need to complete this application form in order to continue doing so? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/948520/form-iv58.pdf I tried contacting APHA a couple of weeks ago, as requested on the form, but have not had a reply from anyone. If so, is this the only licence we will need? -
Preferential Origin - 3rd country
I import herbs and spices from a supplier in the EU. These are in bulk (25kg) and they will often import them from a 3rd country into the EU. They don't necessarily go through any processing in the EU before being sold to us in the UK. Does this mean we will have to pay duty on these goods? If not, what paperwork do they need to provide customs to claim preferential origin? -
RE: Responsible Person - toiletries and cleaning products
Thank you, that's helpful - and does the RP's address need to be printed on the label? -
Phytosanitary certificate
My supplier of bulk dried herbs & spices in NL is saying they will need to provide a phytosanitary certificate for each order (or line?) from the 1st Jan - is this correct? -
Responsible Person - toiletries and cleaning products
I work for a wholesaler, we export food products, as well as toiletries and cleaning products to the EU. I understand food products need to have the FBO's address on the labels - what about toiletries (e.g. shampoo, shower gel, lotions, etc.) and cleaning products (e.g. laundry liquid, sanitising spray)? Do these these products need to be imported by a "responsible person" - it's not clear on the gov.uk website as it just says "cosmetics" do but I can't find what that actually means. Thank you.
